Overall, recommended 7.5/10
Dry Bak Kut Teh — 4/5
Soy sauce-based dish featuring tender pork ribs and pork belly cubes, simmered with a mix of soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar for a savory-sweet flavor profile. The meat is soft, flavorful, and pairs wonderfully with stir-fried onions, scallions, and okra. However, the pork belly cubes had a slight gamy taste.
Fried Chili & Garlic Crispy Eggplant Stuffed with Pork — 3.5/5
The fried eggplants are wonderfully crispy, and the minced pork flavored with chili, garlic, and fish sauce pairs excellently with rice. However, the eggplant itself lacked seasoning, which left the dish feeling slightly unbalanced.
Teh Tarik (Milk Tea) — 5/5
Absolutely amazing. It’s smooth and slightly thick, with a rich aroma of black tea, similar to Hong Kong-style milk tea but enhanced by a hint of unique spices that set it apart.
Anyway, I’ll definitely come back to explore more dishes on their menu.
